“Newspeak” in Contemporary German Political Discourse

چکیده
This article examines the concept of “newspeak,” created by J. Orwell in his novel “1984,” which functions as one means manipulating political consciousness people. The focuses on linguistic manifestation newspeak speech behavior modern German politicians. It reveals two main politicians: confusion and reinterpretation established concepts. explores corpus lexical newspeak, are realized form framing, empty phrases, paradoxical word constructions, borrowings, neologisms, clericalisms, lexemes with ambiguous meaning, words multiple meanings. Among grammatical peculiar to discourse, describes inclusive pronoun “wir,” passive voice, conjunctive irrealis combination adverbial modifier manner. pragmatic realizing discourse include imposition presuppositions, weak efforts fulfill intentions, hyperbolization. conclusion is drawn that, unlike totalitarian societies, politicians democratic countries use compensate for failures their party, turns out be unable fully implement its declared mainly through manipulations.
